AWESOME POLYMER CLAY KALEIDOSCOPE JEWELRY

Ellie Hitchcock

Polymer clay artists have been inspired by the beautiful and complex patterns of a kaleidoscope and have incorporated their broken reflections in canes. A cane is a log or cylinder of clay that has a design running through it, so each cross-section slice of the cane will have identical designs. Using several colors of polymer clay, learn an easy way to build unique kaleidoscope canes. Even when using the same colors, no two kaleidoscope canes will look the same, which is part of the fun of it!. It has to do with where you place each color. When cutting the first slice of the finished cane, it is as exciting as cutting a geode; when its unexpected design is revealed. Use slices of your cane to create a pin, pendant or earrings as a complex and beautiful work of art!!! All supplies and tools are provided.
