Learn the basics of machine sewing while making an all-purpose Tote Bag that can be used as a handy grocery shopper, a travel bag for personal items, or a cute handbag. Learn the anatomy of the sewing machine as well as bobbin and machine preparation. You’ll practice stitches before sewing your fully lined cotton canvas tote bag with cotton straps. This is a great class for the absolute beginner and novice, and for those who need a refresher course in machine sewing. Bring your own sewing machine in good working order, or you may borrow one. A limited number of machines are available to borrow for an additional fee. All other materials are provided.
